It's not that I don't agree, I'm saying that this is the style in which she writes and in which many of the Stranger's columnists write. It's flippant. That is not my opinion, it is a fact.

Clearly, this is the new West Wing. I approve.

Okay, I guess you just feel the need to be nasty and rude no matter what.

I wasn't telling you what to think, I was just explaining that this is Lindy West's style, as seen weekly in The Stranger.

Aw, I liked that episode.

It's sarcastic. And it's wonderful.

Well, if you read the article you will see she says that both actors gave mediocre performances in crappy movies and that neither of them deserved to win more than the other. Not that Meryl Streep didn't deserve an Oscar.

I just want to say: yay Lindy West on Jezebel, I hope there is more where this came from!

No, it's Lindy West's style.

At no point in the above article does Lindy say Meryl Streep didn't deserve to win.

But it's okay, because he was just trying to remind people who Sammy Davis Jr. was...

I think every episode of Seinfeld is probably airing somewhere, at some point during every day. So pulling just that one episode would be kind of tricky.

Okay.

Not in the same situation, but I wanted to say that you shouldn't be friends with people who make you feel bad or uneasy, or who don't respect your wishes.

Blackface is racist. What do you think "real blackface" is? Painting your face to appear black is blackface. That is what Billy Crystal did.

Uh, yeah, that was blackface. You don't have to intend to insult or make fun of somebody for it to be offensive. Blackface = painting your face "black." That's what he did.

Proud to say that I have not seen any of these films.

Yes.

I work in a corporate position at a retail store, and when I started I thought I wouldn't be there very long. Two and a half years later I feel tremendous loyalty, not so much to my company but to my store and mostly to my managers who were willing to give me this job when I was in no real way qualified for it.

Aah Harold and Maude is hilarious! It's a dark comedy.
