Where they will be left to die. The dogs are getting a good life. Period.

Unconscionable really is the only word for it.

Okay, surely nobody can complain about this, as all these pets are from the U.S. God help us if one of the dogs was a foreigner.

Did you know that Washington State is the first and only state to have a female governor and two female senators simultaneously?

How is that a con? Seattle is awesome in so many ways.

Thanks to Sen. Ed Murray!

1. Sen. Mary Haugen is one of the funniest, craziest politicians I've ever encountered.

That argument can be used for any charitable thing, oh the money you used to give that kid in Africa a new pair of shoes would have been much better used to buy school supplies for a kid in Indonesia. How dare you! Let people give money to what they want to give it to, if everybody gave money to the same charities

Okay, so it's better to just let the dog die in the streets for fear that when one service person moves on it will be disappointed? I think it's better that the dog gets a good life on base, and is a source of comfort for the service people on base at the time who love it and care for it. Based on your argument, the

She still kicks ass, and her long, long groundbreaking history in the White House still stands.

First, I just want to say: hell, yeah Patty Murray! I voted for her! What a badass, yeah!

Well the dog is with a lot of people, not just one. It's someone there to provide unconditional love and companionship for people who are giving their lives. When one person leaves there's still a bunch of people there that the dog considers part of the pack.

No, it's not welcome when you shit all over somebody doing a genuinely good thing.

Problem Solved!

That's awesome. People keep talking about this like it's so horrible that these service people want to adopt and take care of dogs. Do they not realize that it goes both ways in helping the service people with their daily lives in war?

Seriously? The guy did a really good thing, can we please stop criticizing him?

I once knew a dog named Kevin. Yep, weird.

She said it's ridiculous that the marine raised money to bring his dog to the US. These guys are out there fighting every day for people, why is it so bad for them to also do something good for a dog?

Well, you can't exactly snatch up a kid you meet in a war zone and take him home. I've seen tons of stories about soldiers hanging out with kids, playing soccer with them, feeding them, giving them clothes and books etc. etc.

Well, I think it was a stray he adopted. Not like he went out and got it from a breeder.
