The interior plastics of every model year from GM is always referred to as being from the “chintzy” era from what I’ve seen...so, what era of GM had good interior trim? Or are we talking solely of pre 70's/80's vehicles?

I’ve always thought one of those imported 4x4 Japanese mini-vans, like an Ace, would be fun to go camping in. Added bonus, I think I’d fit in one, because I’m also a larger than average American. Don’t think you can get them as cheap as those Kei trucks though. :(
