Yes. I was going to get on the safety glasses soapbox! Since I work at a repair shop and have for years, occasionally we’ll get a report or see something about where safety glasses saved some dudes eye(s) because XYZ happened.
Weird. Even in the tiny town I am in, it isn’t hard to stop and fill up. Doesn’t take long either. When I need gas, I stop and get it and move on with my life. NBD.
I personally would pick up on that way quicker than a Camry, Fusion, Accord, something more common. Especially if debadged or badged incorrectly. (How around to begin with, let alone the same color with the wrong badge multiple times, haha!).
Popular fleet car option for traveling occupation. Around here they blend in with regular dime a dozen Camrys, Sonatas, Accords ,…(all good choices as well).
Well said. As former Integra(DA & DC) owner, I agree.
Don’t forget disposable CVTs,…
Unfortunately I’ve witnessed sexism first hand around cars, many times. I’ve spent essentially my entire career in auto repair or maintenance. Yes, being a car enthusiast inspired that. I spent about a year in auto parts management. I worked with several women that spent their careers in the industry, were old enough…
Sounds like what I remember of getting mine in Virginia, for learners anyway.
I had to take a short computer exam to get my learners at 15. At 16 I took a week long course called behind-the-wheel. Some guy picked me up in a Tercel. I drove to all the other classmates houses and then we switched drivers for a bit. Then we switched again and that last driver took everyone home. The last day of…
Some of us didn’t even get a hand me down minivan and had to buy our own vehicle(s),…
That’s about how our Forester was with a rear facing. Which is why I’m surprised he mentioned putting two babies in one ,…
Which is why I’m forever the minivan advocate.
Two babies in a Forester ? Eh not rear facing babies! When #2 came we had a rear facing and a booster in our ‘08 Forester. My (short) wife could barely uncomfortably (and probably not safe due to airbag) fit in passenger front seat with rear facing behind her. I literally couldn’t attempt to ride there. I’m 6'…
Parts not available for an Integra? Except for maybe the first generation Integras, you’ve got to be kidding! Rockauto for stock type stuff, PasswordJDM,…tons of places ,…
What do you end up with? Only rental I’ve ever had was when our Forester was in the bodyshop (🖕🏻 deer). We got a mid-trim level Kia Forte. It had the base engine(1.8 if I recall correctly). For daily commuting it was great. Comfortable, fuel efficient, quiet, not too many gadgets but not covered in blank spots all…
Sorry to say I’m not surprised at reading this. Damn shame because from a non-VAG owner looking at one it’s super appealing. But alas, I’m not brave enough to try to rely on on ,…
For a 1.8L 4 cylinder with total build cost /car cost of less than ~$4,000-$4500 that could easily be driven on the street, and still handled well …? It wasn’t bad. For 1320Video.com standards? Slow as shit.
Heh, no doubt tons of shitboxes rock those. Unfortunately for those that legitimately have used the ones on their cars ,…
