Is MOT some kind of safety check by the government? Or emissions? Both? Sounds really crappy that you can't repair it & retest ?

That both impressed me, and made me sad at the same time. Sad to see an XJ get wasted.

That’s awesome.

I would have a hard time believing it, if I haven’t seen it myself.

Who says it ever stopped ,…heh

I’m glad that I am not the only person thinking that is an improvement as far as environmental impact is concerned ,…

That’s terrible, IMHO. Seeing as vehicles in my state/area don’t require emissions tests and I could be driving stuff that puts out way worse emissions (and/or has way more power) than that skyline and not have issues with law enforcement.

Having worked at a major auto parts chain, you’d be amazed how many calls and questions about this we got seemingly everyday. I’ve also saved quite a few guys from renting the tool, I got into the habit of inquiring if they were buying rotors, pads and asking about the axle nut tool. Seem like most were guys who are

Neat idea, but is the technology advanced enough to let it literally run all day long? At least for something like food delivery/flower delivery , it could likely be plugged in between runs.

On one hand: it is done well, way better than anything I could ever build or afford , faster than I can even fathom, …

“No bad crankshaft position sensor.”

Most/all of the older ones don’t. On some of the more recent generations they have windows that can be ‘rolled down’ on the sliding doors.

Meh, just takes a little bit of effort. After every road trip I go through the entire vehicle used (usually the van), everything is moved. Stuff that stays in it normally is checked, and put back after I’m all done. All luggage, trash, anything left over lingering is brought in the house to be put away.

Aux input *** not six input 😐

iPhone 6 user here. My battery life is a bit longer than that but usually if I’m road tripping, I’m running audio through my phone anyway and it charges when it’s plugged via the USB port. I also like that I can summon Siri from my head unit and do like “I need gas” or “I need coffee” and it’ll find closest place.

Sorry, I don’t know what that is. I said “Pittsburgh area” because that’s what my brother in law (native there) calls his town. if I recall correctly I was specifically in Beaver, or Monoca ?

I don’t need to spend $150 on a Garmin. I have a smart phone that is already used for a tremendous plethora of things, including typing this. It’s navigated me as far north as Pittsburgh area, and as far south as Orlando, Daytona beach, etc. and as far east as Virginia beach just fine all*,…while providing tunes or

Can confirm. Am 29. I don’t know wth kids younger than me are going on about , especially on FB.

I’m a so called millennial. I was FB friends with a guy ~5-6 years younger(? I think ) than me that I helped with his project cars and used to be a coworker. I had to stop commenting on his stuff, because literally 2 or 3 comments would appear that I can’t decipher at all and its “English". I ended up deleting him

Ubiquitous car, sold in millions around the world, should be able to find parts for it…I wouldn’t have thought of it; not bad.
