Anthropoid, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and American Honey. All 3 were varying degrees of ok.

AGREED. Shockingly great movie

Jane Seymour holds the esteemed award of Oldest Woman Nabokov Cocktail Would Have Sex With.

Have you listened to their self-titled album from 2004? I'm not a fan of the whole thing, but the first 3 songs are outstanding and raw as fuck. Worth checking out.

Disintegration is an album that almost requires you listen to it all the way through in a sitting. It has such a uniform feel and mood to it. Kiss Me is like their jukebox album: try a bunch of shit out and see what works. They're both great but for very different reasons.

I envy you for getting to listen to Disintegration for the first time.

Disintegration is the ultimate rainy day album for me. But "rainy day" does not necessarily equate to "depressing." Just like the quote says, I find the record very comforting and warm. It creates a whole new landscape to get lost in. It's gorgeous.

Sightseers has the best visual punchline I've maybe ever seen in a movie. Goddamn that ending is amazing.

I read the entire series. Each book had juuuuuuuust enough for me to keep plugging along, but I can't necessarily recommend them. Erikson gets major points for ambition and creativity, but he has many many faults as an author. There were literally hundreds of characters in these books, and I think I gave a shit about

If that isn't my most watched ever movie, it's definitely in the top 3.

Kubo and the Two Strings and Henry: Portrait of a Serial KIller. I really wished I reversed the order on those, because I still need something to wash the latter out of my memory banks.

Finished Little, Big. It sucked. Also finished From Hell, which was fucking disturbing.

too soon

Local H has aged like a fine wine. And their live shows are killer.

Midnight Tides was the only book of the 10 that I liked without reservations. A coherent storyline and interesting characters? What a concept!

It's dumb because I've gotta open a whole second window to be in Hangouts. Gchat is right there embedded in my Gmail! I use this fucking thing daily. It's so damn convenient. This bums me out.

Whoa. Had no idea that was their intention. That sounds fucking awesome.

Yeah I guess I view the show as 4 seasons, probably because I watched it all on Netflix and that's how they designate it.

Yes, but they discarded the first 11 years of footage.

This seems like as good a place as any to say I just watched Everybody Wants Some!! last night and immediately fell in love with it. What starts as a frivolous (yet highly entertaining) college party movie gains extra depths as it goes along. And the whole cast of unknowns (to me) was great. Props to Linklater for
