It looks way better than One Night at McCool’s at least.

The first time I saw it I was a dumb 11 year old and I can tell you it blew my goddamn mind.

Because you didn’t even realize that they stole $12 out of your pocket for paying to see the movie. Gotta respect the grift.

He’s legit great on HBO’s The Deuce, even if the twin brothers thing comes off as a bit gimmicky.

I liked it at the time but I remember virtually nothing about it.

Book 4 is the perfect place to stop in the Dark Tower series. It’s all downhill after that (although The Wind Through the Keyhole rules and the first 2/3rds of Wolves of the Calla are pretty great). Other King recs: Pet Semetary for sure, his early short story collections (Night Shift & Skeleton Crew), Different

Last of the Motherfucking Mohicans

Yeah. EdTV.

yeah but “Atlantic City” though...

It’s my favorite too. His live action movies basically feel like he’s playing with human dolls, so him getting to play with actual dolls just feels like a much more comfortable fit.

you should have said “Is that the one that ends with Zane getting a flare to the **spoiler**”? or “Is that the one that ends with Zane getting a **spoiler** to the chest”? or “Is that the one that ends with **spoiler** getting a flare to the chest?” or “Is that the one that ends with **spoiler** getting a **spoiler** t

Is that perspective “turned around so you’re not facing the screen”?

You should definitely do that.

It’s a risky gambit to depict on screen (without giving much away, it involves Edward’s sexual inexperience and Florence’s discomfort with the mere idea of intercourse), and, frankly, the way Ronan and Howle play the scene feels much campier than intended.

The French

Yeah I thought the jokes landed maybe 50% of the time in the first one. I think everyone was just so blown away by the fact that a superhero was telling dick jokes that they didn’t realize most of those dick jokes were like 50 years old.

I thought Suicide Squad, despite being one of the worst major release studio films to ever be released in the history of film, was considered a hit? Didn’t it make over $300 million? That still boggles my mind. That movie is SO FUCKING BAD. It made me retroactively appreciate the relatively coherent storytelling of

$1 billion bazongas?

I saw U.S. Girls a couple weeks ago, and they put on the best show I’ve seen so far this year, bar none. Fucking incredible.

Serious question: What’s the problem with Sam Harris? I’ve listened to a few eps of his podcast that have mostly hovered around philosophy. They were kinda sleepy and boring but nothing I found offensive. Can you or someone else give me a rundown of how he’s gone full Nazi?
