Alaskan here.. canceling for snow is a rarity.. if we get more then 2 feet overnight.. maybe.. for the rural districts because it will take the plows a while to get the roads cleared.. but it's still only a maybe.. we are more likely to get closings when it warms up enough for it to turn from snow into freezing ice,

so, uhm.. is it really, really sad that I started watching the Originals a few weeks ago because Io9 mentioned there being a character with my name?? (Davina) it's not all that common a name, so I wanted to go see what they were doing with it.... I am now all caught up.. and though I don't think this is a show I would

agreed, there are a few of us.. is it stellar and the best it could be? no, but it's fun and hubby and i are enjoying it

uhm.. does it come gluten free??

that is a new and odd placement for Alaska.. but might explain why we've had such a warm January this year... (47 degrees today here in Palmer - @ 40 miles north of Anchorage..)

opps.. my bad.. i'm not thinking of Brett, I"m thinking of Cyril Figus.. so replace Cyril in my last post every time I said brett..

Spoilers (if you haven't seen the end of last season..) and theories, you are warned

the issues that some people have with the 96 tv movie tend to revolve around the re-writing of some of the Doctor's back story... (him being half human in that one and all...) but, most of us tend to ignore the bits they mucked up and go with it anyway. :) and McGann's inclusion in the webesoides tend to support him

the problem is that by raising the minimum wage, all that will do is give big business an excuse to raise their prices on everything and the vicious circle continues.. i'm afraid it's going to be a very long, complicated, messy thing to fix. but it is something that should be a higher priority in this country..

Pommie mommy here as well.. we've had 8 dogs in the last 10 years (plus another 7 or 8 fosters.. of our 8, all but 2 have been pure pommies.. of those 2, one was a pure jrt and the other is a pommie crossed with who knows what.. all 8 of them have been rescues, most of them with some sort of medical issue, mostly

hrm.. wonder how they're going to "treat" the song... and will there be a follow up with the sequel book?? (and yes, we have both....) and, i was happy to say that my father had taught me the hearse song long before the books.. ;)

hrm.. i wonder.. perhaps she might be able to beat them at the game if she were to have her eggs harvested as well, have them fertilized and then stored, if that would invalidate the cut off date as they'd then be storing embryos and not just sperm.. .. if she can afford it, that is.. IVF isn't cheap and I am going to

oh my middle step daughter would get along well with you.. she eats pickles like candy and has been known to drink the juice.. :)

l, they didn't say who's family she was having dinner with...

i believe he would now be a good deal older then what it sounds like they are looking for at this point.. plus there is no confirmation they are actually recasting the character of Wedge.. that is mere speculation

hubby and I agree.. it wouldn't have mattered who was cast in that last movie.. the script was crap and i believe everyone did the best they could with it, but it was jut a crap movie that there was no way to save..

wonderful! I was going to ask if anyone else had done any dressing up for this :)

this morning, and i just have to say, the entire theater was cheering, squealing and clapping so hard we missed his first line or two at that reveal.. :) He was my first Doctor, even though I didn't actually get all that involved or invested at all in the series until the reboot, he still has a special place :)

we just started watching this show and are about 5 or 6 episodes in, and yes, he is using a voice changer.. mostly on the phone.. i think we've only seen him talk directly to people once, maybe twice.. and i'm not sure what he does then.. i don't remember.. he must have done something the one time he spoke directly
