As a former Girl Scout I thought it was weird to make a loop that tightens when you pull on it and use that for a door pull. As opposed to a loop that doesn’t slip.

Speaking as someone who used to teach knots to Boy Scouts: That is 100% a noose. There’s no other label for it. 

There is literally no way you “accidentally” tie a noose. “The bunny goes in the hole and around the tree and shit, I tied a noose again...”

It’s just such a complicated way to tie a knot for anything other than... you know, noose stuff. Like, just tie a fucking knot in the end of it if it’s just a pull.

JFC...is it a noose? Obviously, yes. Is there anything more that needs to be asked about the rope used to pull down a garage door? No. I have a rope to pull my garage door down too but, it’s not tied in to a fucking noose. Is it ever okay to tie a rope in to a noose? Not that I”m aware of.

And it only covers memorials for veterans of the United States armed forces, so any statue honoring a veteran of an unrecognized republic (like the Confederate States of America) is still fair game!

The law he “created” already existed. He’s just directing attention to it. It’s also only applicable on Federal property and for statues marked as “veteran memorials.” In other words, he still hasn’t done shit during his term except makes things worse.
