Heyward, like those other guys, is a gritty player. He plays like a coach’s kid out there, relying on effort and his work ethic, rather than natural athleticism, and sets a great example for the kids watching the game.

I don’t understand why Crowder has a problem with it. It’s nothing personal. Boston fans just likee players like Heyward. Those sort of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, John Havlicek types. You know, with that Bob Cousy determination and Dave Cowens fight.

I’m sure the fact that Hayward is white has nothing to do with Boston fans getting all excited about him. It has more to do with Hayward being a gritty, hustle guy while Crowder is lazy and and uppity. Right? Right?
