I’ve never done a deal worth 2.2 billion, but most corporate acquisitions are done with a wire transfer of cash, plus a contract transferring any non-liquid assets. The buyer’s bank/wealth manager can provide a credit against assets held and the buyer can decide which assets to liquidate later on.
