Albert Pujols was once as beloved as almost any player ever by his hometown fans, well on his way to being the defining player of his generation. Now he’s almost forgotten, washed up, and being forced to watch himself get surpassed by an even better player on a nightly basis, on a (still) shitty team.

I’m not sure I’ll ever forgive Underwood and Manning for how openly shitty they were to Katie Witham when she worked there. She was a perfectly fine sideline reporter (and improved a lot from one year to the next, as you would hope with a young reporter). But the guys in the booth were pretty openly hostile to her.

Back in my day, players didn’t need coddling. Hell, that little league pitcher Danny Almonte wouldn’t even drive his children on the team for ice cream after losses.

Yeah, Rick Manning (the color guy) can be a real dolt. And he doesn’t have great chemistry with his play-by-play partner Matt Underwood. They’ve been better this year than in past years (they’re absolutely brutal to listen to when the team is having a bad season). Underwood actually has one of the worst homerun calls

There is no sadder baseball fan than one who’s team won the pennant but not the ring.

/erects Adrian Peterson statues in front of Boys and Girls Clubs instead

And Buffalo! We get left out of everything. Pass me a Genny Cream Ale. Wait, what were we talking about?

Next, you’ll want a statue of George Washington.

There should be statues of him everywhere, with the plaque on it saying “I’m just here so I don’t get fined.”

Yea, it’s like when a pop up lands between 4 infielders and is called a hit b/c no one touched it.

I guess it also works against major league teams too, at least the Phillies

That’s called a “straight steal” of home.

counter-counter point: you’re a fucking idiot

I just want to throw something out there, in anticipation of the comments about how no one is forcing these people to write, ect.

This comment is the equivalent of reading a well-researched takedown piece of NCAA injustices and saying “ok ok but Coach Cal still one of the good guys, amirite guys?!”

Worth noting that his ball, when found after the allotted time, was not actually in the hazard, meaning the officials were correct. Poulter is insufferable.

I literally couldn’t agree more...

Also, he wore a tan suit one time. #NeverForget

Hey, somehow Obama managed to pull off the trick of being an impotent sissy who would bow to all external forces while still being an unstoppable despot who was forcing his personal will on everybody

You’re not allowed to run your air conditioning while you listen, because air conditioning is bad.
