If Lord & Miller couldn’t get their sensibilities to click with Lucasfilm/Kathleen Kennedy, there’s no damn way Edgar Wright could play in their sandbox for long.
Ready Player One is like if not only the main character, but the entire setting, plot, and premise of the story was a Mary Sue. Absolute garbage.

I love Edgar Wright but this concept sounds fucking insufferable. A robot that learns to feel emotion by watching 80s movies? GAH. Why not just do a remake of “Overdrawn At The Memory Bank” while you’re at it?
That’s just all kinds of impractical
This makes me think, is anybody doing anything with the old Gold Key properties Valiant used to publish? I think there was a Turok mobile game last year but haven’t heard anything about Solar, Man Of The Atom or Magnus, Robot Fighter.
oh, this is fun!
It’s correct, that’s how the bat-emblem on the suit appeared in the 1989 film, with 2 extra “points” on the bottom. The movie still posted in this article is actually form 1992's Batman Returns, in which the suit had a more traditional bat-symbol.

I must confess that Debi Mazar in a Space Bra is probably my main reason for liking Space Truckers.
My Nonna used to get those Lillian Vernon catalogs in the 80s, me and my sister would pore through them when we stayed over her house while our parents were working. Among the curios and tchotchkes, a perennial item in it was a book of how to train your cat to use the toilet. Even as a kid I thought it was a gag! I…
“DAGON” is maybe the best adaptation of “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” one could hope for, and I hat that it doesn’t get brought up more when we talk about Stuart Gordon’s work.
The original was a horror comedy, full stop. It wasn’t a “supernatural thriller with comedic elements”.
Maybe it is a generational thing but I am absolutely bewildered by people that don’t consider it a comedy movie.
This film was originally supposed to be out in late 2019, this is the second delay.
Seems like this is S.O.P. for managers doing layoffs. I got a conference call invite with the subject line “Discuss Account Responsibilities” 2 weeks ago, and when I took the call boom, I’m laid off.
I kinda liked The Box. The sequence shot in the Boston Public Library is pretty amazing.
