Aquarium member here. You’re right about parking. It’s pricey. Also, admission for non-members is pricey, but the aquarium is quite good. Have been many many times with kids and we still love it. We bring our own food.
Great for people on a budget or who just like a good deal. The place isn’t beautiful and the bathrooms are gross, but the dumplings in soup are perfect for a cold day.
On second thought, Georgetown could be worth it to stop by Dean and Deluca and other places you wouldn’t actually buy anything. And if you get a nice day and the canal doesn’t smell bad, you can have a nice walk along the water.
Skip Chinatown and go to Panda Gourmet on NY Avenue (if you want real Chinese). Better yet, go to U Street and get Ethiopian food, which is more unique to DC, since good Chinese food can be had in NY and west coast.

The problem is that supporting Israel or any country does not equal “allegiance to a foreign power”, which connotes disloyalty to our own country. Patriotic Americans can support Israel, or any other country we’re not at war with or openly hostile to.
Well, *I* am a Jewish person whose views on Israel are much closer to Omar’s than they are to say, Chuck Schumer’s. I even consider myself a Zionist. Of course you are correct that most of the true Israel zealots who breezily overlook or rationalize Israeli human rights atrocities are right wing Christians.
