You don’t need to wait 25 years, either!

To flip, something with a high center of gravity - like a lifted Wrangler.

For me the criteria would be a beautiful, relatively affordable and desirable sports car produced in low numbers: A used Alfa Romeo 4C.

I’m thinking that the 6-speed manual Miata that I just bought might do a good job of retaining it’s value over the next 25 years (2024 ND3 model, possibly the last significant update before a new platform incorporates some sort of electrical complexity), but by then I’ll be in my late 70s and probably not worried if

Nah. C8, easy.

I feel like the ultimate litmus test is “What other car can I get for the price of a lightly used Toyota Camry?” (I use a Camry as the platonic ideal for a solid but boring transportation appliance, and buying a 2-3 year old car is the pinnacle of “I want reliable transport with minimal depreciation” - the ultimate

I would not classify an Audi of this generation as a good value. Nice car, sure, but good value: no. They are expensive to repair, finding parts is getting difficult, and even finding competent people who will work on them is getting hard, my local places have 5-7 week wait times. You can pick these up cheap because

A key difference being that my dashcam does not mysteriously turn itself off before I go all Leroy Jenkins on someone.

I can’t count the number of times where something mildly insane happened to me and I later on wondered why the hell I didn’t do X, because obviously X would have been clear and reasonable thing to do, rather than Y, which was either somewhat useless or completely counter-productive. Things like this put us in weird

A nice side effect of my dashcam is that is makes ME a more, umm, polite driver. Any time I get fired up by others’ stupidity, I think, do I really want to record my own aggressive response?

The recommended services for the X5 we have in the shop at 40K miles:

When I was younger, I thought his show was satire that too many people were taking seriously, like The Colbert Report.  Blew my mind to learn this guy is supposed to be a legit financial advisor.

Jim Cramer Advises Against Buying Tesla Stock

Some guy named Jason in Texas said he’s interested but asked if he can get 15-year terms?

I remember when he made the horrible call of upgrading Bluth Company stock to Don’t Buy.  What a schmuck.

Now that Top Gear is finished, I doubt a single one of these cars will ever be driven more than parade speed at a fancy event.

Not a very good looking car. The proportions don’t look correct.

I am always dubious of claims that people were legitimately scared trying to merge onto a highway, partly because my first car was a legitimately shitty 72 vw Beetle that made 60 HP when new but by the mid 80s many of those horses had escaped the barn.

What was terrible about the 94 Mustang? It wasn’t as light as the foxbody but IMO looked much better and had a much nicer interior. I even feel the SN95 looks better than the new S650.

WAIT!!!.
