The super thin people in my gym make me uncomfortable because of my own body image issues. If they're doing their thing, I'm okay with it.

"Let me just pump like, two reps at 300lbs and then sit on the bench for another 20 minutes..."
I'm at a city gym so I would add: staying on a cardio machine way past the thirty-minute limit (when there is a line/wait) and just pretending you can't hear/see anyone waiting. This seems to be pretty commonplace at my gym right around 6pm.
Amen. I am no way struggling compared to many people, but I guarantee my stress (inverse of happiness) level would be WAY lower if I didn't have to worry about living paycheck-to-paycheck and worrying about getting all my bills paid every month.
Oh my god. Are we the same person? HAVE YOU STOLEN MY LIFE? Oh wait, my friends kinda suck too. DAMN.
Awesome awesome awesome
Poor man's Norm MacDonald. Perfect!
True - with all my stress-success... strescess.
I recently went to a standup night with all male comedians and one woman. Also, the majority of people at the show (in a bar) were men who had come to watch the Lakers game, and then stuck around to drink afterward. I, a woman, thought the female comedian was hilarious, but the guys heckled her off the stage. I felt…
After I decided to stop taking the anti-anxiety meds I had been on for 10 years (jesus), I was really struggling to focus in grad school (probably because I wasn't a robot anymore). I went to a psych and they gave me this survey to find out if I had adult ADD.
Meh, there are a lot of crappy tattoo parlors (the many on the boardwalk at Venice Beach come to mind) where you can basically ask for anything and the tattoo person (I will not say artist) will slap it on you as long as your credit card goes through. My rule: if there are tattoo "stencils" on the walls where you can…
There are a lot of misguided young women out there...
Maybe just "I have a uterus but I still don't fucking care about babies" - that would get to all the age groups.
It is SO much easier to interact with someone romantically than to ask another girl for a one-on-one hang out session! I really like the way you put this, especially because it makes me feel like there must be many other women who feel the same, not just the women on this website.
It's so interesting watching the first-baby versus second-baby progression of parents. My bro and sis-in-law were those type of people who made you take off your shoes, wash your hands with special soap before holding the baby type people for my first nephew (I'm surprised they didn't make people wear special…
I think it's my nerdiness that tends to be problematic with small talking women versus men (at least the women who I have the pleasure of being surrounded by - I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem in other company). I can easily shoot-the-shit with guys about topics I am particularly interested in, but when it comes to…
