It would have been more succinct to write “he doesn’t have one”.

Yeah, that’s what I said. Way to clearly read my comment.
There’s also a time and place for pointing out the original historical context and the way in which the Nazi’s appropriation of the symbol is just one more injustice that they put upon so many cultures across the world.
I also think it’s a shame. But that toothpaste isn’t going back in the tube. It’s tragic, but even in the list of awful things the Nazis are guilty of foisting up on the world, it doesn’t really rank in the top 10. In fact, you could argue that the extreme heinousness of the Nazi’s actions are precisely why this…
“You can make an argument that swastikas are not in themselves racist with a longer historical view”
“so the editorial decisions are being made by some harried backwater cletus-ass racist motherfucking station manager in Iowa”
“enough is enough”
Holy shit that Aviation commercial is very meta.
“Getting exercise equipment for people who haven’t asked for it is a bit passive aggressive.”
Don’t be so rasher.
Better than a literal piece of shit, I suppose.
Did you even read the rest of my comment, or did you just reach back into your Internet Tough Guy™ bag of tricks without any interest in understanding to what you were responding?
Oh, so you agree that the reactions above are performative?
Yes, because that’s a completely normal and well-adjusted thing to do.
I already left my diatribe about the nuance of cheering in the theater, but I can’t really leave this without commenting more on the movie itself.
How in the world is “kids randomly break into garage and hotwire a car, accidentally powering it up and releasing Scott” any less dumb or contrived than “rat goes snooping through junk and walks across the power button”?
“Everybody makes a spectacle of their own enjoyment.”
“like the one in the clip) that were nothing but poses and soaring music made especially for audiences to react wildly to.”
Yes. There is very much a difference between your emotions getting the better of you when you see something that is just so exciting and the result of so much anticipation that you almost can’t help but react and continuously cheering and hollering as an entire scene plays out.
I can see the value in communal experiences and getting that rush from the feeling of shared exhilaration. However, it makes a lot more sense to me in the venue of sporting events.
