To pull it off, she works 20 to 22 hours a day. (A few times a month, when she feels the crunch, she spends a full 24 hours at her desk.)

If I have to read/hear another Boomer’s comments about young people I swear to satan...

All of this gossip news is meaningless! Lupita Nyong’o and Janelle Monae are dating! Did you hear me? I said, LUPITA AND JANELLE ARE A COUPLE! ALL HAIL JAPITA!

Reminds me of how one of my biggest TV/movie pet peeves is when characters have currently-trendy names that wouldn’t have been on anyone’s radar when the character was actually born.

They really threw the bookies/gambling public for a loop with his name. I don’t think “Archie Harrison” was at all expected.

I feel like they kind of did with their answers.  They said it had been a couple of days more than once.  I felt like they were as dismissive as they could be under the guise of playing along.  The “what kind of baby is he?” question made me laugh.  The baby kind...newborns are pretty much all the same.  Their options

SAME! I had read that after giving birth you look about six months pregnant for the better part of a month, but it was still shocking when it happened to me.

I love this picture of young Archie with his parents, grandmother and great-grand parents. Even Philip looks genuinely happy.

Her dress was my favorite part, she could have worn something loose that hides the belly but instead chose to show off the fact that you don’t magically lose all the weight and baby bump once you give birth, she looked stunning but those shoes look like they hurt so much.

It’s entirely possible that she did exactly that, before being bathed and dressed and made up by a team of support staff. Everyone should have support staff after the birth of a baby.

I get that there are emotional reasons one might feel more comfortable in heels, but let’s not pretend that she could possibly comfortable in this particular pair of shoes. Not with the current state her feet are in. They are just way too tight, you can see it in the way the vamps are digging into the tops of her

I’m sad they weren’t real enough to scoff at those questions - its been TWO DAYS!!! How DARE anyone ask how the baby sleeps, who it’s “more like” (whatever that even means at this point), who it looks like, etc. TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING DAYS. This is disgusting - let the little man find his feet first

My feet legit jiggled with fluid for several days after my son was born. It was the grossest thing I’d ever experienced (until I had my first postpartum poop, but that’s not a story for this royal thread).

Cue the Women’s Magazines and assorted Tabloid headlines in the next few weeks:

As long as she picked them, I am cool with it. She wore heels all through her pregnancy, and as crazy as it sounds, there are plenty of women who wear heels so often that they feel more comfortable in them (I know women whose calves hurt when they switch to flats!).

I can’t believe how good she looks, regardless.  I know she has lots of help, but still.  Too bad she feels like her image requires she dress up so much.

Did anyone see Monday's birth announcement video, when Harry turned around and thanked Granny's horses?

Wow.
Meghan, 2 days after giving birth: walks red carpet in heels and white dress, graciously speaks to the press, smiles.
Me, 2 days after giving birth: gingerly rolls body off bed, stumbles barefoot into bathroom, sees reflection in mirror, bursts into tears.

It was an elegant sidestepping of the benign racist comment about whom the baby looks like. You could tell that Harry was very protective.

This is adorable and I love that she’s “allowed” to look appropriately post-partum. I mean, she looks amazing and not for a million dollars could I have made that walk in those heels two days after giving birth, but her dress is not designed to hide the fact that she’s just spent nearly a year making a whole new
