I used to work in publishing, and met her when she contributed an essay to a book we did. She is truly one of the most insane individuals I have ever met. I haven’t been able to read her since.

Eh. You can get over that. I’ve loathed Kane pretty much from the start, and was finally getting past it this summer. I’m back to zero with him. The rest of the team? Just people. No hero worship. Like other athletes. But I’m happy to cheer them on, cuz I love hockey and the idea of a home team.
