The shame of losing your home county/town/precinct is real. Several of my friends were on the ballot this month and we made sure that turnout in their home areas was high in early voting because we didn’t want to feel the burning shame if they lost them.

For many of those anti-abortion folks, they think women shouldn’t be in the workplace. 

A friend of mine ran for coroner (and won). The incumbent owned a gun shop. It was horrifying. 

Yeah, people in other countries don’t ever fall for demagogues and lines of bullshit. It’s uniquely American. 

There are multiple charges they have to decide.

Why don’t we find someone who is child free by choice and sue to not have to subsidize pregnancy and pediatric care?

So much of this! I love my community, and because my community is in America and I was born and raised here, I want America to live up to the promise it contains. I “love” America enough to hold our citizens accountable, as best I can. And that is fucking exhausting.

I’m a librarian. We never stopped censoring books. There are challenges all over the country, all the time. They fail if you have a good board. Y’all should run for office...

My fear is that if they do try to develop it, residents, environmentalists, etc, will try to guilt them into leaving the land unbuilt without offering fair, market-rate compensation for doing so. I hope whatever they decide will be respected.

Oranges can do a lot of damage, and they are citrus so if the juice gets in the wounds...

I respect her so much. I’m 47 and barely have the self-knowledge and courage to protect myself this way.

Anyone know the median wage for people in food service and grocery? I think that might be more interesting.

I mean, it’s no sliced up shark in formaldehyde or person living in a glass box for a week, but I think it’s very striking. Art is subjective; this is way overpriced but I flinch when something is over $400 because that’s my own budget limit so **shrug**.

I went to see a NP at a clinic last weekend because of my ears and sinuses. She told me to take Flonase, and asked if I wanted an Rx. It’s identical to the one I bought OTC so I said no, but if it was cheaper to use my insurance I would have taken the Rx. It will be the same with this.

Incredibly proud to be able to say that my State Senator, Melinda Bush, is the one who carried this bill in the senate, and did the same for the incredibly tough fight to pass Reproductive Health Act a few years ago. She’s become a friend and is one of the most impressive people I know.

I watched this straight through one Sunday night. It’s super adorable, and they have real chemistry. Can’t wait for season two.

Ugh, the blue line flag on the sergeant’s (?) back holster thing is right up there, too. I can’t see that thing without knowing exactly who’s wearing it.
