Maybe we’ll get lucky and it will be Mirror Universe Spock.

Baul is Spanish for car trunk. So, for anyone who spoke Spanish, this entire episode kept making you think of places you put groceries and spare tires and random luggage and antifreeze because just in case. It was seriously a montage of car boots for me.

There are people who don’t know to stop watching the tv show after episode 5 because it gets really shit really fast?

Definitely skipping this. The first season was misogynistic dogshit from the ground up. The intense sexual violence, the fact that no female character was defined outside sexual relationships, a woman enslaving and setting up other women as snuff fodder.... it was beyond repulsive. The whole show was premised on a

They say you shouldn’t say nothing about the dead but good. He’s dead. Good.

Time to split some votes! C’mon, it’ll be fun! And impressive.

Same. The actors are there and so is the directing, effects, make-up.... but the writing isn’t there yet. It’s slowly getting better but it’s really kitchen-sink all the time.

Agree, this one was a lot less all over the place plot-wise and tonally. It wasn’t overstuffed or running from one thing to the next. Most of the moments were actually earned but the Stamets/Hugh one and Tilly/May seemed off.

I can’t tell if this will be better or worse than Down With Love.

Urgent MEMO to Kimberly Guilfoyle: Please put down the brownface tanner. Fire your plastic surgeon. Please cease and desist.

I would pay for Amazon Prime to watch that.

Skeptical Poe is the best kind of Poe.

I read your summary and thought, “Oh, so it’s women’s experience before ...1930, if I’m feeling generous?”

Was it? I must’ve missed it because I’m always reading DS9 summaries when I watch Discovery.

Did anybody else think... ok, so you the only tool you have in an engineering lab is a power drill (?!) but you somehow also have a cortical implant that’s ready and waiting to go?

Yeah but it was so hammy. It’s annoying when the actors are constantly broadcasting “[things happening] have moral weight”. Less ham please! I feel like TNG rarely had that “the friends we made along the way” tone. It just did it and made us wonder if Q is really as cold-hearted as he comes across or how Data could be

It’s a highschool full of Bills basically. In the best possible way.
