The Hyde Amendment prevents “federal money” from covering abortion care. And Medicaid patients have the right to choose their own medical providers, no matter what other perfectly legal health care those providers choose to offer. That is well-established in the case law. So again I ask: who the fuck cares? What

What the hell is “The Middle?”

I am unlikely to date anyone over 80, so I can’t imagine a scenario in which an adult man does not have his own earbuds and full array of Apple devices.

I dunno. I’m short and skinny with narrow shoulders, and I still care whether or not I’m in the middle.

Anyone who tries to “share” my earbuds with me deserves a swift punch in the face. Bring your own iPad, folks. I’m not responsible for your in flight needs.

Thank you. This is insanity. Families with young children can pre board, and unless you fall into that category, you absolutely do not *need* to sit with your party. When my family travels on airlines that have assigned seating, we never sit together because we’d all prefer to sit in an aisle seat.

He doesn’t look like any Elkhound I’ve ever seen. Maybe the ones you were remembering were mixes with very little actual Elkie in them.

And that is very good data for me to now be aware of, thank you. But the notion that it is an extraordinary ask for parents to dress their children in slightly more formal clothing for a free plane ride is just ridiculous. My parents dressed us to the 9s weekly. We managed to be dressed up for weddings and funerals

My folks sang in the choir at the time, so I had to be in those clothes for 4+ hours at a time (driving time, two services, and coffee after each). My brother whined, but I never did. And my parents managed it weekly.

Perhaps the word “outing” has different connotations for you than it does for me. I apologize for offending you.

This is amazing.

There’s a difference between setting a dress code for employees and their family members flying free and violently removing a paying customer. There was a price at which two more passengers would have volunteered to get off the plane. The correct thing to do would be to keep raising the incentive until they found

Because Medicaid recipients have the right to choose their medical provider, and that right has been upheld over and over again in court.

I wish I were surprised. I really wish I were.

Because Medicaid recipients have a right to choose their own providers, and that right has been upheld repeatedly in court. Period. That is the absolute end of this discussion.

Who cares.

This needs more stars.

Infanticide is illegal in all 50 states, crackpot.

I mean, if you’re on Medicaid like I am, you get to “meet” those saddos screaming at you every time you need treatment for a UTI. “You’re a murderer!” “You’re a whore!” Just to get some antibiotics. What a beautiful world we live in.

I don’t think you’d have to be an asshole to not want captions on the film you are paying $12 to see. But you can change your plans and see it another time so that a group of disabled people can enjoy an outing. It’s not too much to ask of able-bodied cinephiles.
