You are the chosen one.
You are the chosen one.
Excuse me, sir, but you are wrong on the internet. I must now argue with you.
And then they sit on the Iron Throne, right?
I've seen this one too - looks so inherently unstable even in motion.
I think Katniss is pretty active, while being crippled by fear. She's a figurehead, she was never allowed agency, but she goes to the hospital, she fights for Peeta's rescue, she pulls Johanna through training so Johanna can get some closure, she subverts the chain of command so she can be the one to reach the…
I argue with this with my sister all the time! She agrees with you. I found Mockingjay to be one of those rare books that actually speaks to you on a deeply personal level. All the moral problems I had wrestled with in my life (growing up in a deeply political family, sacrificing things for family cohesion, the war…
I always thought Nolan's Batman and the Iron Man films were a great complement to one another. I love the grittiness, the depression and the Gotham of Nolan's Batman verse. I love the fun, irreverence and flair of the Iron Man (and later, the whole Marvel universe) films. They're both great franchises.
It's my least favourite of the books, but I'm still damned excited about this trailer. It looks like the major themes are being kept intact.
This could be awesome.
I can whole heartedly recommend the book. Some of the best monologues I've ever read
I was on my way to say exactly this. Don't know what it says about my state of mind this morning but that is DEFINITELY a pair of ovaries.
Well duh. Everything awesome is from Scotland.
No it's fine - we already named our automated air defence network Skynet.
Best of luck! It's genuinely worth it at the other end :)
I'm at 226 pages with ~65000 words in the thesis itself ( word count not including referencing)
No. Why would you make that? What possible reason for making that would you have? LOOK WHAT YOUR SCIENCE HAS WROUGHT UPON OUR WORLD!!!
Yeah - interested too. But still - Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson - surely they could do some justice?
Yeah I'm familiar with it, they still use some of the strains in fur farms I believe.
Sorry, but I still disagree. The dog example I listed before - we're talking tens of thousands of years of co-evolution. That's enough time to change the gut fauna in the human population. Wild animals do not have that history of domestication.
I'm a phd in animal behaviour. I have also worked in wildlife rehabilitation.
