In my old house we had a sliding door from our bedroom to the back porch and it froze the whole winter every year. There was a thick layer of ice on the inside. To be fair, we had some insulation issues. The room never got warmer than 40, even with the best cranked. Do not miss.

It’s supposed to be -33 here on Friday. I do not intend on spending much time outside. To be camped out for a cause in this is...amazing.

My husband: “Come for the holidays, stay for the guilt!”

SOUL CRUSHING GAME SEVEN LOSS

Need do this.

Judging.

Drool.

This is why usually don’t tell people who I’m cheering for. Shame.

If you ever hear a story about a Canadian sneaking into the syrup reserve and drowning in a barrel after falling in while trying to shovel as much syrup in her face as possible - it was me.

Oh, yeah he’s not going anywhere. I expect we’ll actually see a lot more of him and his kids. He’s hit the anger phase of grief now and my husband is the listener. :P

I got a little weirded because I’m on Lexapro and same - life changing. I’ve missed a dose and not really noticed, so maybe it won’t be a big problem if I ever want to get off it? But right now I don’t see why I’d want to. For now I’m going to enjoy serenity and put that in the cross-that-bridge-when-I-get-to-it file.

I’m perfectly happy to stay friends with Wife, but I have a feeling she won’t want to hang out with me. :/

I got these lights for $3.50 a string at Jysk. I don’t know if they have that outside of Canada. It’s like a tiny wanna be IKEA. I bought three strings and I’m considering going back to buy the rest of their stock.

Omg Frog and Toad. Love.

Oh, we both have our sisters coming for Christmas! :D

Yeah, I’m super upset about it. It even affected my sleep. Like come on, Heather - it’s not your marriage that’s ending! But I probably won’t see much more of the wife because the husband and my husband are so close and she’s the one who chose to leave him. He wanted to get counselling and she didn’t. :/

Thanks! They were all gifts from my aunt and uncle. The mouse is for the kiddos, the Scottish one is for my side of the family, and the Viking one is for my husband’s side. :)

Pancakes, blueberry compote, bacon, sausages, fruit salad. Kid’s dinner. Very gourmet.

Super festive weekend here. Today my older daughter volunteered to set up the food bank Christmas hamper centre. Then we dropped off our food bank donation bins and decorated the house (an ongoing project). Tonight my kids have friends coming over for a Christmas party with movies and cookie decorating. Tomorrow we

Certainly not! Mine are all done. Just waiting to pick up the pictures of my kiddos to pop in for family. But I really should have sent the internationals by now. Sigh.
