That’s awesome. My children would approve. We have a bunch of stuff now because the neighbourhood goes a little crazy, but we are going on holiday over Halloween so I didn’t set it up this year. The yard looks naked. :( Next year I want skeletons and a light projector to go with my blow up stuff.

Wtf. I think I’d have just jammed cupcakes down my gullet while staring at him blankly as he spoke. But good for you for speaking up!

So I was just walking my dogs and this is what the neighbours have up. Talk about going crazy. They have a homemade guillotine and a big platform with a skeleton bring hanged. It’s bananas. I love your dog skeletons.

I need a brag thread. I’m so proud of my kiddos. And me because I am the teacher. I have two girls who LOVE math and I’m so happy about it. My just barely 5 year old is adding, my 7 year is converting metric measurements and multiplying. They are so awesome.

I actually found it boring because it was like - yup, he’s still hitting a head with the stupid bat. Call me when something else happens.

I honestly don’t know. That wasn’t a thing when I was a kid. But I was/am definitely kind of different, so maybe. I definitely relate to aspie girl symptoms.

I remember saying to my husband that I’d take his name “if it was something awesome”, but I did not realize that this was literally an option. Might have been more choosy with the husband selecting, tbh.

This is probably the only last name I would take.

Oh, Dottie. No.

Serious underestimation of what it would take for me to sleep with him for sure. But maybe that’s unfair because infinity dollars plus one isn’t a thing.

Yes, but that’s what I mean. Like I say - I can do Santa so long as nobody asks any questions. Or I can pretend there is no surprise party until someone directly asks “Is there a surprise party?”. But other ways of lying tend not to get you in as much trouble, so they aren’t useful for the purposes of this

You should meet up with us for trick or treating. You’d match the girls! Winnipeg might be a trek for you though. :P

To be honest, it’s a texture thing for me so it doesn’t matter what flavour is, but yes chocolate does taste better. In this case I used pre-made black to save time.

We do still have half left. Husband is scrambling eggs right now. Eggs, veggies, and cake? A balanced meal.

My kids love it for some reason. Weirdos. I peeled mine off.

Oh, it definitely varies but I have experienced them. I remember my first baby group - some meetup thing. There were three normal people and then the rest were....interesting. I’m still friends with the normals. I’ve had the super crunchy mum act all horrified because I vaccinate and birthed at a hospital. Our old

Hmm...just realized that I made no plan for dinner. Crap.

AurynSharay is exactly right. Sponge and splatter paint and some smudging. I enjoy making cakes, but this one was almost therapeutic. Just like painting a picture.

Yes. I hate fondant, but there was no way to avoid it with this cake. There is a delightful layer of black chocolate frosting underneath though.

Oh yes, I definitely remember! This makes me so, so happy! Wow! Congratulations to you! Best wishes in marriage and have a blast tonight!
