it’s still open ended. does that mean his show is canon or is he the actor that will carry over into the mcu and appear in other shows/movies but they’ll retcon his backstory and everything?
Sounds like Marvel wants to play with Cox for awhile, insert Cox all over the MCU and see what comes. Regardless, fans will be getting all the Cox they want eventually.
I guess the question that remains is if/when we get the Kingpin reveal in Hawkeye, will it be regular sized Vincent D’onofrio or will they CGI his size up a bit to be a more comic accurate Kingpin?
Cox and D’Onofrio are pretty iconic in their roles but I could see them coming back without any specific references to the events of Daredevil. You’re safe to assume that these are, in fact, the same characters, but it’ll never be mentioned explicitly and I doubt we’ll see any of the supporting cast from the show…

They’ve got multiverse wiggle room now—Agents of Shield obviously split off by the end, so you could make the same argument for the Netflix shows.
