I love everything about how this looks so far. Can’t wait. Haters gonna hate, so whatever.

It’s not his fault; in 3 trailers and he’s had like...3 lines of dialog. Disney’s really pushing the Tony Leung angle hard (for obvious reasons) and after that Liu is like the fourth most famous person in the movie.
Simu Liu is great and Marvel has had very, very few disappointments as far as casting goes. At this point, I’m still pretty optimistic. Some characters don’t reduce to soundbites in trailers as well as others.
there are currently no plans to release Shang-Chi day-and-date on streaming through Disney+’s Premiere Access program—although as CDC recommendations begin to encourage indoor mask-wearing across the U.S. due the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we’ll bring you any updates to Shang-Chi’s rollout as and when we learn them
Seriously though I suspect a streaming service to look at picking this up really soon. Series like this are made for streaming, the last episode was in the can over two years ago, and Netflix is investing HEAVILY in childrens programing.
Godspeed, Arthur. And thanks for turning so many celebs into anthros.
*clenches fist by my side at the news*
Dumbasses never did figure out how to draw an aardvark.
Pretty much. I’ve viewed the D+ shows as far more in-depth mid-credits scenes.
Oh most def. it’s like when a public figure dies at the age of 90 or older. They won.
There’s very little to be sad about here, yeah. Not that Arthur isn’t a cultural touchstone or anything, just that... 27 years on the air? Yeah, you can pack it in then. Unless things changed a ton since last I saw it, it’s not like there was an ongoing narrative that they needed to wrap up.
I have very fond memories of watching Arthur as a kid (“That sign can’t stop me! I can’t read!”) but it’s pretty hard to be sad about the cancellation of a show I didn’t even realize was still producing new episodes.
I initially misread that as “Don King.”
I’m hoping that the holiday special is purposely bad, as a shot to Star Wars. But I bet Gunn will somehow make that bad actually good
It’s in Feige/Disney’s best interests for people to feel that those are mandatory. But so far they haven’t been totally mandatory in the sense that the gaps they fill are things that you could fill in your head with a bit of imagination.
Here’s my thesis statement: The D+ shows are being used to flesh out the greater lore of the MCU for people interested, but in such a way that you really don’t *need* to watch them to know what’s going on.
Hmmm... I can’t decide if Lumpy or the pervy uncle who watched softcore porn in VR is more important to Star Wars canon.
Ah yes. No one will ever forget the impact that character brought to Star Wars. A character who appeared in just one scene, created millions of rabid fans for generations to come.

“It’s in-canon, it’s about the Guardians, you’re gonna learn stuff that you need to learn before Volume 3,
