Here’s a good faith answer:

This is exactly the shit they’ll pull with voter ID.  And then they’ll go to the picture looks different (different hairstyle, different glasses, etc.)  And they’ll just toss the ballot as “too black”.

He probably threatened to call the FDIC or the state’s bank regulation agency. They will hand that check back to you in a hurry because they don’t want the suits-and-badges brigade walking through the front door.

Exactly. I regularly deposit checks as part of my job, and the last time, I forgot to stamp the back of one of the checks - the bank staff was like “No problem, sorry this might take a few extra minutes. Do you want a free T-shirt?”

Sounds about white.

I (a chubby white dude) didn’t have any trouble cashing insurance checks from Geico after out local hail storm even though the checks only had my first and last name while my DL includes my middle name. Given that I have a son who shares my first and last name (but not middle), I could have been pulling the same

Part of the problem has been that the government is shaped by corporations and the super wealthy, which ends up causing more harm to the general public while making life easier for them. For example, estate taxes, they fight tooth and nail to get them removed, even tricking people who don’t have large estates to

Another bank will deposit that check. Also, they will deposit the check he is getting from BOA.

First pig, then lamb, next up duck.

Ok.... Bezos family owned a 25000 acre ranch in Texas. His grandfather was a regional director for the US atomic energy commission, and adopted father was an engineer for Exxon. Bezos himself was a Senior VP for a hedge fund that he left to start amazon and his family was well off enough to invest 300,000 dollars in

I never said the wealthy don’t pay any taxes. But they do go to great lengths to pay as little tax as possible. And when you try to “fix the system” they whine and say it’ll “cost jobs.” Meanwhile you cut their taxes and they cut jobs anyway.

Defending cash hoarders and the uneven distribution of wealth...I’ll never understand it. It’s basically defending the act of making people work for nothing while you reap all the benefits. It’s disgusting.

I don’t disagree that the rich pay more in taxes (in general, there are plenty of examples of people paying next to nothing in taxes through the use/abuse of loopholes). 1% of a billion is larger than 10% of 50k, but that 1% has a very negligible impact to the billionaire but that 10% has a huge impact on someone

You’re talking about capital gains.. and that stretches the term ‘earned themselves’ beyond usefulness. They are lottery winners that continue to occupy space. In fact their version of ‘hitting rock bottom’ is what the majority of the world’s population would find to be living in luxury beyond their dreams. Their

I’d feel the same way as you if tax rates were the same as they were 100 years ago. But they’re not, and they go out of their way to hide their money from being taxed. So fuck them. I don’t even hate Musk and Bezos the way most folks here do, but I do hate the idea that they don’t owe part of their incredible wealth

Shows what they really care about, funding the preservation of a 17th century sluice gate just doesn’t stroke the ego it seems...

Man.....if only there were billionaires that had some spare change left over from their space travels......

Trump himself admitted that he saved Kavanaugh, if he hadn’t nominated him for SCOTUS, he was a total loser.

If only they’d added that they thought he was Iranian.

Next you’ll tell me they failed to investigate Larry Nassar too.
