I get the point you're trying to make - that people bought convertibles back then because they wanted to cool down. But that's not the reason for a convertible. A convertible is so, so much more than just a way to keep cool.

There were about 25 of these for sale on Government Liquidation and I was severely tempted to buy one, since the location was 2 miles from my house and I have a dirt track at my house which requires a lot of digging. I think they were going for around 8K.
