Like you, people are probably desperate to take some action that might help.
I’m watching Love, Death & Robots, a Netflix NSFW animated sci-fi anthology. As with any anthology, it’s a mixed bag but the episodes are all less than 20 minutes long (most under 15 minutes) so it’s not a huge investment in time.
I just checked, I think the water stopped a block from my place! A new sandbag wall changed the flow from straight east to southeast back into it’s normal flow. That wall is now holding back 6 feet of water so it’s probably not safe go back yet.
It has been amazing to see people helping out with the sandbagging, it’s mostly volunteer work and when they ask for help on social media a small army shows up and gets to work.
Shopped, napped. Finished a book I started weeks ago, but couldn’t get into. I got less than a quarter of the way in, and tonight said “Fuck it; I just want to know how it ends”. Hmm; I think teh youts don’t take politicians very seriously
A new zefrank will always be a highlight of the day.

Ps all photos were from the local paper the Fremont Tribune.
I hate being a buzz kill but sharing some of this at least makes me feel like I’m doing something other than watching and occasionally sandbagging. We had some success in parts but nothing was prepared for this amount of water
As my sister-in-law’s husband just reportedly said, ‘well, they might as well close the nominations for Young Australian Of The Year after this.’
Egg boy is a hero.
Well, about the only good thing to come out of the New Zealand massacre (aside from immediate vow by its government to tighten its gun laws along Australian lines - imagine that, a sensible reaction) is that there is now a new hero for all Australians (well, except the fascists) -Egg Boy, a teen who smashed an egg on…
What’s up, my beautiful people?! Hope you are all doing fine tonight. Me? I’m at work, chillin’ with some tunes and working until my eyeballs start to hurt. Usually somewhere around 14 hours.
Hope everyone is having a good week. Let’s celebrate!
