The issue is that the page name is walmartdotcom/fat-girl-costumes - this is presumably someone's WIP category that went live.

Add "All us us" to the 'Texan" list after finding out the CDC cleared her.

I didn't know whether to laugh or eat rat poison when I read that the CDC cleared her to fly. I'm just sick.

The problem isn't this flight, this case. The problem is that clearly we have no idea what we're doing. Healthcare workers were self-monitoring for an incredibly deadly virus AND flying around the country at the same time.

"Chill" left the building at "Flight 1143 from Cleveland." Because for her to have traveled via public transportation while she's fucking self-monitoring for ebola is insanity.

"Ebola is hard to catch." "Don't panic." "You are not at risk unless you have direct contact... OH FUCKING WAIT..."

Wait, what? Holy shit. Apparently she flew into Dallas on Frontier Airlines Flight 1143 and landed at 8:16 pm at DFW.

I feel like there's a fantastic conversation to be had about this subject, all of the white guilt "finger wagging at all you other white people who don't GET IT the way I GET IT" is incredibly frustrating, and I feel (as it's done in this post's comments) largely drowns out the voices of POC due to the starring and

It's just awful.

I'd also emphasize that we won't see pictures of Ebola victims in more developed nations for a reason ; those patients are being treated in care facilities that are essentially on lockdown, for the good of the patient and the populace. Because "the West" has the luxury of having few cases on "our" hands, we aren't

I'd like to stress that I never stated that anyone was lying - but I do believe there have been gaps in understanding how this disease spreads. Not misinformation, gaps.

Is this the urgent care facility in Frisco? Because that was the deputy who'd been in Duncan's friend's apartment - shutting down the clinic was prudent and not a panicked reaction, for sure.

In my feed it's more of a joke about Mexican-Americans (from Latin@s, not at them) kind of like the Windex joke in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

My husband and I were just talking about how even talking about ebola equals "panicking." I mean, I know there are conspiracy theorists and preppers who are probably having a damn field day, but it doesn't do any "good" to say "You're not going to get it, stop panicking already!" any time the conversation comes up.

No one's saying it went through the protective gear, only that it is apparently much easier to contract than we've been told in the latter stages of the disease.

The doctors DID have that information, so the breakdown wasn't in communication, unfortunately.

You know, I'm right there with you. When the Spanish nurse's aide contracted the disease after having a "break in protocol" while disrobing from her protective gear, I was told "but she was an aide, with improper training." Now it's a nurse in what would seem to be similar circumstances... And people, seriously, do

LaC, I'm just about to head out the door, but I'd love to talk about this in a bit, so I'm leaving this window open, because you're 100% right. I am (of course) white, live in the "nicer" part of our tiny town, etc, etc.
