Between the Trump allegations, the revisiting of Bill Clinton allegations, and resurfacing of Sanders’ questionable essay there was quite a movement and change in societal attitudes underway. There is no excuse for ignoring this kind of behavior in your own backyard. 

This behavior was going on in a supposedly progressive campaign while the country was in the middle of the #MeToo reckoning. The cognitive dissonance is dizzying. It shows just how much Sanders and his campaign leaders were removed from reality.
