The press did refer to the G8 as “The Poor Man’s 5 Series,” mostly for its handling, but also for the styling.

I mean, now that all of the Toyota trucks are on the TNGA-F platform, that’s exactly what the Sequoia is...an Americanized Land Cruiser.
Frankly, Toyota’s mission with the Tundra, Sequoia and LX seems to be not to piss off Toyota faithful; they aren’t necessarily trying to break new ground or conquest sales from other brands selling similar vehicles. I suspect the same will be true of the upcoming 4Runner, Tacoma, GX and US Land Cruiser (likely a new…
For an Audi? Yes.
That’s true. And, to that end, the only security flaw I’ve seen in recent times that has been truly egregious is the Hyundai/Kia key exploit...because it is within the capability of even the dumbest thief to jam something into the ignition slot and crank the car to life.
Me, too. Lately, the power-adjustable steering column on my 2013 A8 L 4.0T has decided to be unresponsive some of the time.
Looks like improvements all around. My only complaint is that I liked the pre-facelift front fascia better.
My mother’s 2012 Sonata Limited 2.4 also received a new engine, due to Hyundai’s machining defect. It has been relegated to an emergency car—she got a 2022 CX-5 Carbon Edition last year—and so we still have it, but the entire car is falling apart. The YF-generation (2011-2014) Sonata showed so much promise, but ten…
I guess we won’t know until later, but this is either
That said...Ford and GM have been known to collaborate on automatic transmissions from time to time, most recently with their longitude 10-speeds.
I never did that on my 2015 VW Golf ScandalWagen TDI, but probably should have.
The D and M parts of the DMV area have horrendous drivers, in my experience. And I’d thought Texas was bad.
This is true. I was there yesterday, on the way to Reagan Airport, and saw a fool in an early-90s, teal-and-rust-colored GM J-body coupe weaving in and out of traffic doing 70+, when traffic was at a standstill. How they managed to not crash, I’ll never know.
It’s possible that their job depends on them having a clean record, where the cost of the lawyer was more than worth it.
I assure you, the A-Class feels really rather flimsy. Mercedes-Benz seems incapable of making a good transverse-FWD car, and it shows. I’d wager the Civic and MAZDA3 feel nicer than the A-Class.
They lose every time.
This has happened for decades. It happened way back in the 80s. GM said its last year to make convertibles, for various reasons, was 1976 with the Eldorado Convertible. The 1976 Eldorado Convertible ended with a run of 200 “Bicentennial Edition” models, celebrating the USA’s 200th birthday.
Are we sure the CT5 isn’t specifically the -V Blackwing version? I can’t think of why anyone would pay over MSRP for the regular CT5 and CT5-V.
