operating loss can still include things like depreciation and reinvestment.

Are you familiar with GAAP accounting, vs the actual marginal profit a car creates? Teslas cost less than they sell them for. The margins are near 20%. If you factor in all reinvestment, Tesla as a company isn’t making profit. Amazon didn’t make profit for years because they were constantly pouring money back into

How many people in aggregate need a Ryzen box for their day to day work? What percent of the world computer usage does that represent daily? Even for specialized tasks (I’ve also worked with huge transaction systems built by Sun for international level banks), hardware, even in a niche, is able to handle much more

I think you’re attributing a conclusion to my statement I didn’t make. See my response to John. The obvious response is obvious.

You spent a lot of time on this response, when really all I was saying was “everyday anything” which most people would take as everyday browsing and office tasks. I think most people are aware that specialized machines are required for specialized tasks, and different platforms have strengths and weaknesses.

I have an $1900 Dell XPS with an i7 and 16GB of RAM - it’s a nice computer. But on the whole, still less steady than my Macbook, and the operating system has had a slue of bugs and problems.

Hey, as much as we hate cheap Chinese solar panels impacting US companies’ bottom lines, speeding up adoption is a net good thing. We only have ourselves to blame for the current state of the US, Dems need to get out and vote.

I sort of love that this is happening. My 2012 MacBook Air needs a new battery, but other than that, with the 256 SSD and the relatively low amount of RAM (8GB) - it’s still super fast for everyday anything. The hardware tech is really outpacing the software need.

“You are an idiot” - “You’re an idiot”
“Your hybrid police car”

Yeah, but this article is important because no-haggle sometimes is pretty egregiously over market value. We ain’t talking 1500, try several grand and up to 10 grand, depending on the car.

Used Toyota engines can be had for a song. Install isn’t much of anything. She paid for a hassle free experience, and that has value.

The thing is, and this is just from looking at Carmax during several of my purchases. The difference isn’t 1500, most of the time I see between 5-8k difference.

Correct, but it lends itself to the discussion on whether they need to be available at all.

Had this been a semi-automatic rifle - the results still would have been pretty damn terrible. A sniper in that position has a ton of time to do plenty of damage.

Was waiting for this comment.

Yeah but, the outgoing coupe was downright sexy for an econo-sedan.

Haven’t looked in a while, but I thought you could get a nice turbo for like 27k . I don’t know if you’ve seen that Petrolicious “Light Rider” video about an Esprit, but it gives me a funny feeling in my nether regions every time I see it. Take that as you will. I’m not ashamed.

Size rules out the G Body 911, which can still be had at that price. But I’d still look at those and an old Lotus Esprit, not that reliable but if you do the maintenance and you’re not daily driving it, it’s an awesome car. Also, 944 turbo over the 928, Mercedes 2.3 16v - a seriously underrated, fun car. Used Cayman

At first I thought this was going to be a rant about penalties in soccer in general. I was ready to yell and scream and tear my hair out about it. But then I realized we were just highlighting a bad kick. Oh well. As you were.
