1. Hemsworth / Pine
I was leaning hard towards Evans for a while. But between his SNL appearance and WW, I’m totally team Pine now.
LOL WTF IS THIS MOVIE?! More accurately, why is this movie? I get it, DA, the creepiest things happen inside one’s own mind!! Beware the mind’s eye!! Evil is within us all!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, just to make sure you’re aware of the context here:
I like the part where a 48-year-old dude is somehow a plausible husband for a 26-year-old woman. Think I’ll pass.
Ed Harris is closing in on 70. It would be nice if this still counted as middle-aged. I don’t think it does. Michelle Pfeiffer, somehow, is probably knocking on the door of old age too. But Javier Bardem is definitely middle-aged.
Funny you should mention that, since my first thought upon seeing the two of them was that he should be her dad, not her husband. Sooo creepy, and yet I fear that this was the one part of the movie that was not intended as such. :/
J-Law in particular gets cast in a lot of roles for which she’s way too young.
Why is she so often cast in roles which are clearly for women in their thirties or forties? It’s not even the normal hollywood thing, it’s a specific weirdness around her- it’s not like she looks older. Bardem is 48, she’s 26.
That’s the HORRROR.
Some of her SNL characters were annoying but generally I’ve really liked her in movies.
All I saw was a 20 something with a man twices her age, which I could’t look past throughout the trailer. Hollywood agism/sexism is still alive and well
So it’s about a cult (her long hair and long white dress, come on now), yes? Pfeiffer is JLaw’s mother but “gave” JLaw to Bardem at a very young age or something.
Dudes making movies rarely surprise when it comes to age-appropriate couples. Disappointingly.
I got that but who’s the mother?
yeahhhh it’s lawrence and bardem :/
It’s J Law. The trailer made it seem like Michelle was Ed Harris’ wife.
