Def Church Fight and pretty much all of Episode 3, Stein & Jax, but beyond those, the non-big bad doppelgangers were especially surprising & satisfying. In order of surprise / emotional impact:

And in the previous episode, Kara literally shit-talked Thawne, “My cousin will find you! He’ll save me!” Then Brandon Routh does just that! I fucking love DCCW.

I’d have also liked it during the mourning Stein montage aboard Waverider if the slow pan through Ray / Amaya / Zari / Mick being bummed out ended w/ Nate’s big ol’ friendly yellow lab bro self sulking there w/ eyes puffy from crying.

eh, Thawne only said he fought Superman, and that he’s faster. That doesn’t necessarily mean he beat him. Supes could have (would have) beaten Thawne’s ass - and Eobard could have simply escaped by outrunning him / jumping time.

I loved when Firestorm ABSORBED A GODDAMNED ATOMIC BOMB, and when he turned some wmd int a bunch of candy. More of that, and as the candy gag proved, minimal cgi.

And this crossover did no favors for the rest of Legend’s Season 3 sfx budget. Esp now that Grodd’s in play. I look forward to Franz Drameh getting his power back, but I also hope his journey back to that place is as rewarding as Stein’s multi-episode sendoff. I’m still weepy about their last scene together.
