It’s not selfish to want your body back. We give our bodies over as soon as we’re pregnant (and in many cases, long before when we start trying to get pregnant) and we put ourselves second or third for so long. 

I think you should do flyers ASAP. Is it possible one of your neighbors has taken her in, believing her to be homeless and in need of help? I hope you get her back soon!

On the other hand, they’ve also been a godsend for those of us who were adopted/are trying to find their birth families and half-siblings. So like anything, it’s about what you use it for I suppose.
