If you are going to replace your cabinets, get cabinets that go all the way up to the ceiling. Sure, you’ll need a little stepladder to access the top shelf, but you’ll avoid having to clean that weird dusty/greasy layer that accumulates on top of shorter cabinets.

I wonder what the prices are like in Mexico Beach, Florida. It was devastated by a hurricane a few years back, so you’d probably be buying a lot and building on an existing foundation. But looking at Google Maps it looks like there’s plenty of options within a few hundred feet of the beach.
