Technically, it’s banal!

It makes as much sense to put a golf course in a desert as it does having an ice hockey rink... they doubled down and did both right?

I barely registered these exist until I actually drove a couple of them that came through my work. The late 2000s-early 2010s versions are actually quite nice. They’re surprisingly fun to drive, owing mostly to being compact in a way that no SUV or CUV is these days, the kind of small where you can reach over and

“We shall all be drowned in an ocean of blood and fire” is metal as hell. Kinda wish I’d actually put that in the blog.

Which is nonsense - I’ve seen the process firsthand.  They could probably have gotten it in place day-of if necessary.

Yep.  I made a similar comment above; my first was involved in a tournament where there was a Mercedes GLC as a hole-in-one prize, and it took no time to get the insurance set up.  It’s an off-the-shelf product for anyone who insures dealerships since they do this all the time for promotions.  I want to say it cost

Someone at the club forgot or was too mean to pay the premium.

The Article said they didn't have time to get the insurance!

Yep, article even says that the dealership couldn’t get insurance for the promotion. Sounds like they fucked up when they agreed to go ahead with still offering the car anyways.

Interesting, so that must be what they were talking about with the “due to lead time for insurance on a Hole in One Vehicle.” I had no idea that kind of contest-prize insurance was a real thing!

This is not the greatest badge engineering in the world, no

at first I was somewhat against the whole cycling the battery for home backup use, but now that CARB is requiring manufacturers to do a 10-year 150k mile warranty on batteries starting in 2026, I think I’m all for it.

Ticks all of my boxes except for the Nissan Rogue one...

That’s a bit different though, because KFC is owned by Yum! Brands, which also owns Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and formerly owned A&W. So your analogy would be more like selling Porsche and Audi in the same building, not Porsche and Ferrari.

I’m a Nissan Fanboi, myself. 2 Sentras, 2 G20s, a 240, a Maxima, and a Frontier. Honestly, there’s really no new Nissan I would go out and buy.

That’s a big assumption there buddy....that I would support reckless driving anywhere let alone in my own community where my neighbors and friends would be at risk. Do I support people modding their own cars even if I think it looks silly? Sure. If these folks want to “unnoffically” get together in a big parking lot

Fartsonic.  We all read it the same way.
