I did not watch the video, nor will I, and I’m kind of wondering exactly who this story serves, in particular with the video embedded.

Thought it was green? He clearly passed 2 cars that were already stopped, moved into the oncoming lane to try and burn a red. The cyclist is an idiot. So is the driver of the car that hit him.

No one said the cyclist shouldn’t be cited. He should.

Nope. Cyclist ran redlight. Cyclist was fundamentally and legally at fault. 

Looking at the video, she likely did not have time to react. The video is obviously slowed down (or low frame rate). I don’t believe this is a case of distracted driving, he just zipped out in front of her. Then she probably panicked.

Who is arguing that she isn’t?

Nobody is saying it does. It also doesn’t mean we get to pearl clutch about the poor, poor dumbass who can’t follow simple traffic rules on a bike.

I’ll go farther than that: this area of Jersey City is a tight downtown core and none of those streets are commuting arteries, so the driver is *fundamentally* at fault fo *any* impact occurring there.

People who do hit-and-runs don’t get a pass because they hit a cyclist, regardless of what the cyclist was doing.  A cyclist failing to yield creates a dangerous situation, but you are still not allowed to try to kill them.

I’ve found out that packages with better shocks and skid plates to be a great fit for dealing with crappy Baltimore streets.

The Ranger is due for a redesign any moment, and who knows if that will remain the case? The Ranger may also employ a low/high-output scheme. Not to mention the upcoming Dakota reprise and the Tacoma that will probably arrive in another ten years.

Me, I love the 3.8-liter V6 in the Frontier.

Presumably she wasn’t all the way through the editing process when hitting ‘submit’, since that paragraph works well in both locations and she was trying to figure out where it fit better. (and clearly it should be the end, since there’s nothing there that’s a better ending)

If it is a 'check', then it must be going to the US, because if it was going to Canada, it would be a 'cheque'.

This is the right way to write one of these reviews. Be transparent about why these sorts of cars can be conflicting, but don’t beat anyone over the head with it.
