Now, I have seen “nice exits” that have great gas stations and places to eat, but not state-sponsored exits from the interstate that release back onto the same interstate, and nowhere else.

I don’t know the respective gearing of two trucks (actually, the X is probably 3.36), but I do know that the VQ40 was tuned for monstrous low rpm torque. I would imagine that is why the Taco felt slower; doing truck things at truck speeds, it shoved you back in the seat harder.

Can concur on the Mustang. Drove wife’s manual ecoboost (Cobb tuned, cat-back, CAI) on a 70 mile interstate trip. Did easy, comfortable low triple-digits with aplomb and zero effort.
