What a bizarre comment. Across the Spider-Verse earned $687M vs $458M for Elemental. I don’t think Elemental earning $1M more overseas is a victory for Disney. Quantumania made $200M less than the last Ant-Man, and $100M less domestically than Across the Spider-Verse (the last Ant-Man made more than Into the

Basically, there are clauses in most showrunner contracts (supposedly, since heaven knows I’ve never seen one) that allow the contracts to be broken under “force majeure”; ie, “act of God”, which for some reason a strike falls under. The time on that is supposedly 90-100 days.

His movies have left me bored and unhappy since Dark Knight Rises, so... pass. Enjoy, folks!

Also, I’m grateful to read that review that says that there are gags in the movie.

Also, the “big moment” is “awe-inspiring.” (We’re trying to go in totally clean, so we have no idea what that could possibly be referring to.)

All I ask is that it’s as pretty to watch as Tennet was, but you know, with a god damn coherent story.

Wait, there’s a BARBIE movie? First I’m hearing of it! I have been in a coma for 5 years until 1 minute ago

Of course Cruise is not seeing both in the same day. He’d probably have to run between screenings, and he hates to do that.

I thought the movie was better than it should have been, but that’s not exactly high praise. I can’t imagine watching it as a series.

When you have the CEO of the company and pilot of the sub saying and I quote: “At some point, safety just is pure waste; if you just want to be safe, don’t get out of bed. Don’t get in your car. Don’t do anything” to justify not following any safety measures and rules, and not caring about the lives he’s putting at

That’s because punching up is comedy, while punching down just means you’re an asshole.

The fact that they were people wealthy enough to drop a quarter million each for a thrill ride, aboard what most of us would consider an experimental vessel at best, plays into our willingness to make light of their tragedy. You don’t see that same kind of joking about the migrants lost at sea trying to reach Greece.

Think it of like a live-performance of the Darwin Awards, with the added bonus of current zeitgeist of disdain for people who seem to believe that having vast wealth makes you somehow smarter/privileged/better than the unwashed masses.

He definitely reloads (or grabs other guns when he’s out)--the friend and I that saw it together are pretty familiar with guns and it’s honestly impressive how accurate they are with the reload count.  Now sure the rest is a little silly (though still just the right side of ‘okay I can buy that maybe that could

He reloaded all of the time and they talked about how many bullets the clips carried.

The top down shoot out is gorgeous. Remind of Hotline Miami.

It’s good that a random avclub commenter is here to set these clueless guys straight about their health insurance.

What a weird and ignorant comment to make.

DGA health care has specific requirements about work days logged (as indicated in the Tweet). It’s great health care that anyone would bust their ass to keep. Some of the wealthiest people in Hollywood use it for good reason. So, just because they weren’t destitute doesn’t mean they had no motivation to keep great

Jesus fucking Christ the assholes on here with such sad lives that they have to dream things up to get angry about.
