I suspect that as soon as the service is through airing S2 of Perry Mason, S4 of Barry and the back half of S4 of Doom Patrol, I’m going to bail. There hasn’t been any particularly enticing new content coming from HBO in the past six months and I’m not about to pay out $15 for Discovery’s back catalog of “reality”…

From an outsider’s perspective, this entire merger seems like a disaster in the making. HBO Max currently has clearly the best streaming content of anyone and they want to add a bunch of rubbish reality TV from the Discovery channel and then prioritize the offerings from D+? Bonkers.

Anything that’s smart enough to figure out a way to get here will be able to do whatever it wants, regardless of whether our guard is up or down.
