The “I think I’m cooler/nicer/more attractive than I am” voice? After rewatching that, it’s amazing how they nailed the neckbeard/niceguy persona decades early.

Now playing

I’m disappointed they didn’t go with how I picture Thanos, which is the education of him from the Silver Surfer cartoon:

My favorite part about the video was the clear lack of self awareness. “We have the right to protest and should be protected as we harass this one guy we picked. But this guy who’s butchering an animal in the shop space he pays for? THAT’S DELIBERATELY ATTACKING US!”

I imagine the dialogue would be similarly full of

They still have those donuts, just not branded as simpsons.

Yeah that’s the one!

Don’t forget Bender’s line in “why must I be a crustacean in love?”

I don’t get ASMR and I’m too old to sit for 30 minuets to watch one. Do you get high or something? What’s the big deal?

Right. Stuff like this is good for legitimate marketers/companies. (Besides, if you’re legit, you probably want to use a less expensive service very soon anyway. Mailchimp is pricey for its limited features.)

Except most people know now, and since that was way back before the public dialogue around those things was happening, no one cares. We’ve got real monsters like Weinstein and Steven Seagal to deal with (not to mention our president and his pal, Putin). No need to generate faux-outrage over something like this.

Yeah they really buried the part about carefully moving the part of the wall, intact, inside. But that would make for a less obvious straw man villain.

“Captain Ron: the Game”

The good news is I, like most people, have no idea what the fuck a pop team epic is, so we’ll just spend $850mm watching this movie. SORRY TO RUIN YOUR FUN TWICE.

That childbirth scene in the trailer is what stuck with my wife and I, though. The implication is enough, but seeing it? And pondering if they would do something horrifying to the child to keep themselves alive? That doesn’t go away if you have kids.

I don’t know if what you’re talking about is a real movie but I’d watch it.

It’s kind of a bummer when you realize the guys offering sincere, heartfelt apologies for this stuff aren’t actually the ones who should apologize as much.

I think it’s more about the “surprise we meant something slightly different than we disclosed” element. Moviepass has always been very open about selling user data. But the active long-term tracking is surprising and a bit annoying they didn’t disclose it.

Only if it’s against a protected class. (So, not against whites.)

> Gen Z will eventually get a proper name, too (perhaps quite soon, given the waves they’re currently making.)

I just hope it’s as titilating as Kevin Spacey’s Masterclass.

But do you own a tv? I username to have one but gave it away to recycling because I never used it. I just read books from my local indie bookshop.
