Eh, works for me!

I had a cop Tahoe for awhile. Rubber floors. Vinyl seats. I have toddlers. The thing was so easy to clean up!

It’s really self-enriching. As human beings should value ourselves and what we do. Creating something we take pride in helps us feel great, even if no one ever sees what we’ve done.

Hopefully having an article come out, albeit much shorter, on an s420 I bought for $2k. Nice car when it was new, but man, what a POS now. The old Mercedes I do like though, is the w123 chassis. I’ve owned a few. Great cars.

Sure. I paid $23,000 for the car. The engine rebuild was around $10k. I’ve got other misc hundreds or whatever into wheels, tires, seats, etc. It’s probably worth around $40k. Hours? A lot. Just the engine took me many hours. I went super slow.

I’d like to think I’m into it for about what it’s worth at this point.

Nope, just wind up. Lasts a couple days on the clockspring. Mine must be broken. Pushing the right knob does nothing.

I have always wanted a forestry service Jeep Cherokee. The green one with the rubber floors!

Good luck! :)

It does. I think the type of car that REALLY gets people going though is mk1 vw rabbits. EVERYone seems to have owned one, or known someone with one of those things. Nothing gets people talking at the gas station like a rabbit.

Thanks a ton.

Nah, there’s a few stragglers.

Looking at hagerty tools on the 911 pretty much shows they’ve leveled out over the last year or so I think.

I barely eeked in. If I sell it, I’ll never get another. Lets hope nothing happens to it!

I’ve got to get an old truck at some point. I think I might end up with an old Toyota truck or something.

I just hated on Targas when I bought my car. Over the last few years, I’ve come to really lust for them. Great cars, and under-appreciated.

I definitely notice the pace of traffic pick up around me. It’s kind of a weird phenomenon.

Does it need restoration? Why not just leave it?

You definitely have to drive with diligence with the gearbox. Great post.

Well.... thats debatable. I haven’t heard a bike that sounds quite like my car.
