That’s a really good point. Also, to add onto that, you see in Hollywood how difficult it is once an actress has been labeled as difficult. I’m sure this happens in porn too. So they probably go above and beyond to avoid that label, which then the male producers and actors can exploit. It’s a feature, not a bug.

I don’t know about backpage specifically, but I would say the majority of them did get their clients online. It was so the pimp never let them out of the house except to go on dates. It gave them more control.

Is your position that one is either completely on board with FOSTA-SESTA, or they don’t care about human sexual trafficking?

Why aren’t we discussing a FAR more serious issue of underage victims?

I had another thought, which is that Raven and the other women bringing accusations are actors. Which is to say, when they are slapped or treated more roughly than they agreed to, they have the acting skills to cover up their true emotions.

Funny how this “proof” just further proves what misogynistic trash they are.

FOSTA will make it MORE difficult to address trafficking.

One huge bonus of marijuana being legal in California is now I don’t have to hear from every pothead about how marijuana basically cures(not palliative, cures!) everything from cancer to carpal tunnel. Like I’m down to smoke smoke weed, but no one likes an evangelical, no matter what you’re pushing.

Backpage was shut down WITHOUT FOSTA/SESTA. The law doesn’t do shit to actually prevent trafficking.

This!!! I cannot imagine reviewing this footage and thinking “oh yeah slam dunk for me! EXONERATED!” like what the actual fuck

Oh for sure. It’s just really revealing, but not in the way they intended, I’m sure.

Really disturbing about the homophobic and transphobic comments. The rest is them thinking everyone else is too stupid to see how manipulative they are.

Also, if they thought this video was exonerating, that’s pretty disturbing. Like they don’t see anything wrong with this type of behavior.

Funny how this “proof” just further proves what misogynistic trash they are.

One of the many things I love about former Mythbuster Adam Savage is that when his two boys were growing up, he sat them down to explain how the internet hates women and none of these represenations you see are healthy ways of interacting with women.

Dangerous workplaces (sometimes literally to the point of worker death), abusive/manipulative/deceptive bosses, increasingly impossible customer demands, whistleblowers being threatened with blacklisting, etc, are problems to be found in practically every industry. I’m not downplaying the terribleness of what

MindGeek has a damn near monopoly on most of the porn circulating the interwebs, and that’s a problem. If you want to support women-run porn (and enjoy some amazing content), subscribe to sites like https://trenchcoatx.com or https://erikalust.com. Both are female owned and produced, and each has their own ways of

Well, it’s not quite waterboarding, which involves pouring water over a cloth and into your sinuses while being inverted, but it’s close enough that it probably doesn’t matter.

Back or forth with Ramon Nomar - always the same.

I remember the incident when it originally came out, but for it reach the litigation level is pretty major. Not wrong, but it is a big moment in the industry and it will be even more interesting if more people will come out against Brazzers, which is one of the biggest sites out there.
