The production is something that tends to vary from variety to variety. Are you using determinate plants? They tend to produce all at once (or twice), while an indeterminate variety will give you a more low-key, constant harvest.

That's cool. I'd just like to point out that I'm not the one who made comments about working hard enough or getting a GED. Nor did I judge anyone's choices. Just pointing out that container gardens are totally doable (if you have the space, obvs.)

Have you grown tomatoes outside of containers before? They really are quite finicky, and getting one tomato could be for any number of reasons. (I've never heard of anyone having luck with those hanging containers.)

Some tomato varieties fare well in pots (they do require a 5-gal pot/bucket, though). You just have to get the right ones.
