Lol it’s almost like the more liberal you are, the less deplorable.

It’s funny how you never see liberals begging "Can we please just keep politics out of xyz?!" It's almost like we're not embarrassed and ashamed of our views.

Really? Defending the fascists (“you’re not allowed to report on it when they show themselves to be worthless, cowardly little pieces of shit! No fair!”) is your reaction to this? I... failed to see that one approaching.

Gotta set them off in the neighborhood as an example, right?

What does Copart do?

You have put more thought into this comment than any of the engineers at GM put into the Cavalier.

For $10,500? A Cavalier? I don’t care it it’s a convertible. Hell, I wouldn’t care if it also included a modest vacation package to the glorious sunkist beaches of Puerto Rico valued at $5,500, while Vanna White herself flips the final letters as I solve “My wife is leaving me because I bought a Cavalier for $10,500.”

Power is provided by a 130 horsepower 2.8-liter OHV V6. That’s matched to a three-speed transaxle feeding the front wheels

Fuckin’ boomer-grade boring-ass car collection, too. And he apparently has a giant blown-up photo of 9/11 on his wall... Is he... proud? of that moment in American history?

I’m 100% OK with not judging a company on the basis that they fund politicians that support political positions I disagree with. I’m not OK, at all, with a company that continues to support politicians that actively undermine our democratic process. That isn’t politics.

I’m not sure what your point is here. If some other company donates to foreign politicians that are actively working to undermine democracy, the peaceful transition of power, and good governance in their home nations, then those companies, American or not, can also get fucked.

I believe it is entirely appropriate to judge members of Congress on that single issue. Sedition is pretty straightforward.

Yes, and yes.

No no, it’s entirely appropriate to judge an elected member of Congress solely on the basis of whether or not they choose to uphold democratic principles.

Lol - I dig your world, I really do! Back in my world, I just trie shopping for the first generic 15-year-old car that popped into my head (a 2007 Hyundai Sonata - $20k when new). I was hoping to find some sweet $1k deals, but instead I found prices between $5-7k.

This is not a desirable car, and cars that aren’t desirable do depreciate to next to nothing.

lol this is not a beater and $2500 these days is getting into beater territory

This world you live in - this world of $40k cars depreciating to 5% of their original price in 15 years. Where is the door? I really need a 911 GT3 but only have $10k.

California car, desirable wagon/stick combo, new clutch and tires, excellent condition, all repair receipts, 2nd owner, decent color combo... and in this market? At least $5K and it’s priced such that he’ll probably get at least 6.

What’s so bad about it? I’ve only ever ridden in the back seat of them as Ubers a couple of times, but I can’t really remember thinking anything other than “this seems adequate” about them.
