This is one of those cases where “eminently forgettable” is totally okay. Like a Camry, like an ES300, the Millenia is a bit like Clark Kent. A 7k quarter million mile 4runner/tacoma of this generation is going to be far more reliable than basically anything else you can get for 7k regardless of the vintage.

It may be less a matter of not having “any concept of the current used car market” than it is of thinking the current used car market is insane.  This would be a NP at $4k, but right now it’s CP all the way.

I sure hope like hell that 3.4l V6 is a better engine than the 3.0l V6 it replaced. Because I owned a 94 4Runner with the 3.0l and that engine is a piece of crap!!!! Also I could practically watch my 4Runner turn into iron oxide dust just sitting in the driveway.

I was at NP until I saw it has about a quarter of a million miles on it. I don’t care what the perceived quality of Toyota is. Any car with that many miles is a maybe a $3000 car at best. The body and interior are in great shape, it’s a 4WD with a stick. I mean... It’s really great, but only about $3K great. Maybe…

“But it’s a Toyota” will only get you so far, and it doesn’t get me to $7k with >250k miles.
