I tried to buy one of these new. TWO Buick dealerships wanted to do nothing to help me make that purchase. They kept pushing me towards the other “cookie cutter” crossovers. I ended up with a Flex instead.

Can concur. By far the most comfortable highway cruiser I have driven. And with tons of space and a ridiculous greenhouse.
I can relate. My father in law, 2 brothers in law, a niece, and now my son...all LEO. And every last one of them will be the first to say most cops are assholes. And then emphasize “but not all of us, so don’t lump us all together.”
The Chevrolet El Camino. I know this is a Holden, but it works too.
I totally agree with this. I passed down my cars to both of my son’s. My older son got my Mitsubishi Montero, and over the next 3 accident free years, he drove it into the ground. I helped him finance his new(er) vehicle, to help him build his credit.
1974 Plymouth Barracuda with the 360, and definitely in Purple
Yea...HARD NO. Last year I ruptured my bicep and dislocated my elbow. My wife begged me to call an ambulance. And I reminded her about the $950 ambulance bill for our son when he fell off the swing set. The hospital is a mere 7 miles away, and I have really good insurance.
When I was in college, my neighbor and I bought a 1970 Opel GT with the intention of fixing it up and making money on the resale. I don’t think it ever even made it around the block without breaking down. Needless to say, we sold it basically for what we paid for it...non running, of course.
This is SOOOO true. I can hardly count how many times I see the same Amazon driver drive up and down my street during the day. I get at least 2-3 camera alerts every day, just from the Amazon truck. Seems ridiculously inefficient.
The article specifically states the event runs from May through October. That would be more than a few days.
- Sticking out past the white line during a red light.
Upselling on shit that I know doesn’t need to be done.
I’d say nice work, but I don’t want to glorify your actions.
My first vehicle, a 1971 AMC Hornet, shit brown, with an oh so slow straight six. This vehicle was held together by duct tape and a prayer. I was heading back home my senior year in HS from my first college visit. Since the thing was such a dog, I was taking the scenic route through small towns and county roads. Now…
This is 100% true. I am a healthcare worker in Iowa, and have to travel to satellite offices regularly throughout the state. There are areas that I dread stopping in. Even when wearing my medical scrubs and a mask in a store or gas station, there is always some stupid maskless hick who feels the need to chime in and co…
LOL...as I finish laughing and cleaning the coffee off of my monitor. $9K for a 80's economy car, N-tothe-D!!
This, 100%. I have lived in the northern states most of my adult life. Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Des Moines, and have absolutely NEVER felt the need to purchase “winter” or “snow” tires. I have driven everything from a rear wheel drive Firebird, to a front wheel drive Sebring, along with a Hummer and a…
When I was a kid and just getting my license, I had a LOT of help from my neighbor, the Chief of Police. He said the biggest cause of most accidents is when the driver panics, and loses control of the vehicle. He would take us to an abandoned airfield, and get us in our cars and tell us to let ‘er rip! He was adamant…
Absolutely No Dice for me. I own a 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha, with the V8 and 115000 miles. I can honestly say it has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Red flags for me include 235000 miles on the 5 cylinder engine. The black tape to hold he taillight housing in place, and black tape covering “what” on the…
100% agree. I have to say, that over the past 28 or so years, I don’t think I’ve owned the same brand twice. I have gone from a Chevrolet Blazer, to and Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, to a Chrysler 300, to a Mitsubishi Montero, to a Hummer H3 Alpha, to a Ford Flex, with a Kia Sportage for my wife thrown in for shits and…
